MBO capillary, 35 cm
The MBO Capillary is designed to take a blood sample from the unborn child during delivery. This blood sample can be used to measure the PH of the child's blood, which gives an indication of the oxygen level. Based on the result, the doctor may decide to perform a caesarean section.

Tijdens bevallingen is het van belang om snel en betrouwbaar een bloedmonster af te nemen van het ongeboren kind. Dit bloedmonster wordt gebruikt om de PH-waarde te meten, wat inzicht geeft in het zuurstofniveau van het kind. De MBO capillair wordt speciaal voor deze toepassing ingezet in de gynaecologie en obstetrie.
Liber Medical levert deze MBO capillair als disposable instrument, bedoeld voor eenmalig gebruik. Dit voorkomt kruisbesmetting en waarborgt de kwaliteit bij elke procedure.
De capillair heeft een glazen buis met een lengte van 35 cm, een buitendiameter (OD) van 2,75 mm en een binnendiameter (ID) van 1,0 mm. Het volume bedraagt 230 microliter. De wattendraad in de glazen buis is geïmpregneerd met NA-Heparine om stolling te voorkomen. De tip is vuurgepolijst en heeft een bocht van 10 graden over 15 mm, wat de afname van het bloedmonster vergemakkelijkt.
